Structure of Decision Critical

Imagine Decision Critical as your strategic planning command center. It offers a well-organized structure to keep your budgeting and scenario analysis streamlined. Here's a breakdown of its key levels:

Account level

  • At the top level of the structure of your subscription is your Account - the subscription has a main account, and may contain multiple user accounts. Each user can create different "Companies" to organize plans for different purposes. Users may share scenarios to other accounts using the scenario sharing function.

At the highest level, there is the "Account," typically corresponding to a user or a subscribing entity. This account serves as a container for all the data related to the user's budgeting and strategic planning activities within Decision Critical.

Company level

  • A "Company" in Decision Critical like a project folder. It groups all your related budgeting and strategic planning scenarios together, making them easy to find and manage.

A "Company" is essentially a collection of scenarios and related data. It acts as a grouping mechanism to organize and manage scenarios efficiently.

Scenario level

  • Inside your Company folder you can create different "Scenarios". Scenarios are individual plans where you plug in your assumptions and see how the given set of assumptions impacts your budget and overall performance.

Under each company, users can create and manage multiple "Scenarios."

A "Scenario" represents a specific set of decisions made under defined circumstances. Scenarios are where users input various assumptions and evaluate the impact of those assumptions on operational and financial outcomes.

Assumptions level

  • In each Scenario, you can set your Assumptions. These may come from your data, outside research or could be educated guesses about things that might affect your budget or strategy. The more accurate your assumptions are, the better Decision Critical can help you predict outcomes.

Each scenario is associated with a set of "Assumptions." These assumptions are critical drivers for the budget or strategic plan being developed in that scenario.

Users input these assumptions, which can be based on approximations and best available information.
